Owens Leasing and Landstar were recently awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the United States Marine Corps, 3rd Platoon, 4th Amphibious Assault Battalion in Galveston, TX. The award was in recognition of efforts in loading and transporting the Amtracks for deployment in Iraq. Our timely response and delivery insured an undelayed and even early departure for this battalion.

Owens Leasing Received the Landstar System, Inc.“Star” for producing over $3 million dollars in our first year (August – December 2001).

Owens Leasing Received the Landstar System, Inc.“Star” in 2002 for producing over $10 million from January to December 2002.

Landstar System, Inc. awarded Owens Leasing with the Quality Fleet Award for 2002. This is one of the most prestigious awards given at Landstar's annual banquet. The award is given to the agent (terminal) with the safest record for miles and revenue produced. We pride ourselves on promoting Safety in everything we do.

In September of 2001, Owens Leasing and Landstar were proud to be the lead sponsor for the Texas Cares Benefit supporting the families that lost loved-ones in the tragedy of September 11th.
